RETURN TO THE ORIGIN
Mamo Lorenzo, keeper of Arhuaco wisdom, returns to our Rocky Mountain sanctuary, carrying and sharing the ancient spiritual practices of the Arhuaco people of the Sierra Nevada, Santa Marta of Colombia.
The sentada, or sit, is a five-day fire ceremony accompanied by a simple supportive diet. Together we move through cleansing practices and sacred offerings, connecting with the ancestral beings and guardians of our own lineage and of this territory. As we learn these ancient meditation techniques, we work to clear and raise our vibration, coming into deeper connection with Mother Earth. Through the practice of thoughts, movements, and words that purify and heal, we bring restoration to ourselves, to our partnerships, and to our ancestral tree. In this way we make ourselves ready to be of service to the Natural Order and the spirits of the territory.
What to Expect
A 5-day immersive spiritual retreat with fire ceremony, meditation, sacred payments, and teachings from Mamo Lorenzo. Camping on the land with communal meals provided.

About the Sentada
This is an invitation to learn and practically apply the spiritual work of the guardians of the Sierra Nevada with Mamo Lorenzo, elder, teacher, and spiritual leader of the Arhuaco people.
Through this work, we practice:
- Purifying our thoughts, movements, and words through daily meditative practice, supported by a simple diet
- Healing along the family tree, restoring the original order of balance within our lineage and our partnerships
- Making offerings to the ancestral beings and guardians of the territory, harmonizing and nourishing the spirits of the land
- Reharmonizing and restoring the original vibrations of our bodies and the Earth
- Carrying these practices forward into daily life, walking a path of service to Mother Earth and Father Sun
About Mamo Lorenzo Izquierdo Arroyo
Born in 1975 in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Mamo Lorenzo's arrival was prophesied years before his birth: "A child will come from the natural house and remind us that we have forgotten our roots and abandoned our knowledge." After decades of training with fourteen Arhuaco wise men, he now carries the mission to unify peoples and remember the foundations of creation. Since 2017, he has led Return to Origin retreats, opening this work to humanity to strengthen our connection with Mother Earth.
