At Blue Sky Sanctuary, you can expect child friendly Waldorf-inspired worship, readings from the Hebrew and Christian Bible, other Spiritual texts from a variety of world faiths, poetry, folk and fairy tales, chanting, spoken affirmations, prayers, guided and silent meditation, and interfaith hymn singing.
Communion and other sacraments will be offered in a renewed form. All, who feel called to, may be refreshed. Members and visitors are encouraged to form independent judgments and explore their own disciplines and research. Spiritual tools for personal practices will be offered each week.
Music includes jazz saxophone and acoustic keyboard, digital windjammer (with a variety of voices) Indian harmonium, classical sacred music, folk tunes, and gospel. Our services are eclectic. Worship centers on weekly and seasonal themes.
Healthy refreshments, which the children sometimes help prepare, are served after service.
Children and adults are encouraged to dress for the weather so that we may experience as a community the beauty of Duluth’s great outdoors.
Blue Sky Sanctuary is financially independent and exists through voluntary donations by local members and visitors.
